Eric picked up his first guitar when he was 11, and hasn't put one down since. At the age of 17, he played alongside his idol Buddy Miles, the thrill of his life. Around the same time he grew an interest in jazz and began studying under Gene Bertoncini. These formative experiences led him to Berklee college of Music where he continued his studies in jazz, among other styles of guitar.

Eric currently performs in New York with The Eric Sami Band and works as a freelance guitarist and bassist. He is also a producer, engineer, and studio owner. Eric has played with some of the best in New York, including Teddy Kumpel, Don Celenza, Saron Crenshaw, and Michael Powers, among others. His style is his own, bringing together his love for soul, blues, funk and jazz.
